Summer Information

Summer workouts will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-10:00 AM.  Dates are posted below but are subject to change.  We will meet at the practice field at Carrboro High School.  These workouts are recommended but not mandatory.  Please have a current physical on file and be registered (registration can be done on the Carrboro Athletics webpage).  We will do fitness first for 20-30 minutes and play small-sided games after.  Make sure you bring running shoes, cleats, and water.

*Please note that June 3-9 and July 17-23 are dead periods meaning we cannot train

Where:  Carrboro High School.

Time:  7:00-10:00 AM.

Cost:  $125

What to bring:  cleats, shin guards, water


When: August 1, 2, and 3. 8-10:00 AM

Where: Carrboro High School practice field.


You must have a current physical on file at Carrboro High School.  You must be registered on the Jaguar Athletics Weebpage.  You must have a signed Concussion Form on file. If you do not have all of these completed, you WILL NOT be allowed to try out.


Please bring running shoes, cleats, shin guards, and water.


If you cannot attend tryouts on Aug. 1, 2, or 3 for some reason, you can tryout on Tuesday, Aug. 28 and Thursday, Aug 30.  This is the first week of school.  NO EXCEPTIONS!  Please note that no spots will be saved and those at tryouts on Aug. 1, 2, and 3 will be given preference.


Please note that you must pass all 3 fitness tests during tryouts in order to participate in the first competition.  The fitness tests are:


  1.       2 Mile Run.  Must be completed in 13 min. 30 sec.
  2.       300 m x 3.  All five runs must be completed in 1 min.
  3.       120’s x 10.  Must run 10 120’s (length of field) in 18 sec. Jog back to start in 40 sec.  Once back, you will receive 30 sec. rest.  Failure to make the 18 sec. or 40 sec. is a X.  Three X’s is a failure.
